A Boy and His Baby

We recently bought Will a baby doll. Yes, it is pink. It was very hard to find a boy baby doll that I liked. So, it is pink, and I'm fine with it.

He loves his baby. He doesn't play with it everyday, but when he finds it, he is very excited.

Will has also become very good at giving kisses recently.

Here is a quick video of both.

Mother's/Father's Day

We started a new tradition this Mother's Day - a Mom and Will date! The idea came to me because Daniel is working a strange work shift right now and works from noon to 8:30PM. This rules out Friday night for going out. I decided that Will and I should just go out on a date ourselves (because it was Mother's Day weekend after all).

We started by checking out a new park for a "romantic walk on the beach." We really are lucky to have so many beautiful places here in Washington. This was only about 15 minutes from our house, but I had no idea it was there.

Then, we "went out to dinner." We went to Dick's Drive-In and had a lot of fun eating in the car together (my car did not love it quite as much). Will liked it so much that we had to go buy a third burger (and an ice cream sundae to go with it).

It was so much fun to spend some quality time with the darling boy who made me a mother. I plan on doing it every year.

Father's Day, sadly, was not quite as well planned. Will and I got back from California the night before Father's Day. While we did send him some movie and video game gift cards while we were gone, we were wiped out on Sunday. We really do love and appreciate him, though! Daniel shopped for the ingredients and cooked his own Father's Day dinner. It was delicious. He tried a new way of cooking the steak and it turned out fantastic!

We didn't even take any pictures of the father and son that day, but here are some recent ones.

Those boys love playing together! Here is a recent video, too.

We love being this crazy boy's parents!

Toothbrushes, Dusting, and Shoes

Will has some funny obsessions lately.

1) Toothbrushes

This cute kid LOVES toothbrushes. Not his own toothbrushes, but the big ones. He rifles through our bathroom drawers every chance he gets. As soon as he gets one, it goes straight into his mouth and stays there. He can mimic putting toothpaste on the brush perfectly. Only one brush is pictured here, but I have gone through several brushes recently.

2) Dusting

Will is an awesome helper when it comes to dusting. He will throw quite the tantrum if he is not given the duster immediately. He likes to dust the same area about a hundred times.  He actually does a pretty good job.

3) Shoes

Will really likes shoes. He doesn't need to be fully dressed to want his shoes on. Sometimes he even wants shoes on over his footie pajamas. Right now, he makes a sound that means shoes, but I wouldn't be surprised if that ended up being one of his first words.

It is so entertaining to see the funny things he likes.
